SOCIAL

We designed the overall look and feel of the event and also the logo lockup, which was applied to all social assets and elements of the event, such as the TikTok hashtag banner. It received over 3 million views, amplifying the impact from just the physical event. Each creator also received their own custom branded instagram post to advertise the event and promote awareness for the cause.

DECOR

Due to the multi-day nature of the event, decor elements we chose had to be easily moved and arrange in different areas of the hotel. Our main decor elements were lush tropical plants which felt cohesive with the hotels greenery, columns for signage, and neons tubing with the TikTok logo applied  onto it. These arrangements were moved as needed throughout the event, as well as the soft seating and furniture used.

The welcome dinner after check-in allowed the creators to get acquainted, dance, and get inspired by the key note speaker.

DAY 2

SUMMIT SESSIONS

The second day started with an inspirational and interactive summit that ran until the afternoon. Since the creators spent most of the day in a large conference room, we designed wild postings to cover the walls to make the room more dynamic. The furniture was also mostly soft seating couch clusters to help with collaboration and avoid a school room lecture atmosphere.

GALA BUILDS

After the speaker sessions, creators got dressed up for a formal but fun celebration, with a photoshoot, dinner, dancing, and an afterparty with a performance from Doja Cat. This night was really meant to remind them that they are special and celebrate black history in an elevated way. However, many of the creators were younger so we tried to retain a playfulness in the decor. The stages and entrance builds reflect the same aesthetic as the welcome stage but with more elements added on. Colorful lighting was utilized to bring these to life.

Playing with lighting, candelabras, disco balls and colorful decor pieces provide an elegant youthfulness to the gala table settings.

PHOTO BOOTH

We created a photo booth where studio portraits were taken of each creator in formal attire prior to the gala dinner.

DAY 3

The final day of the event was a brunch and recap session with a live musical performance. The creators got to think about these last few days with a newfound sense of pride and unity. Their gala portraits were displayed on large flatscreens around the space to celebrate not only the individual, but also where they came from, their culture, and the future.
